Renewal of Road and Highway Bridge Bergedorfer Strasse B5 / A1

General BIM Project Controlling

The city of Hamburg has designated the renewal of the B5 / A1 Bridge as a BIM pilot project. The pilot project primarily includes the replacement of the bridge on Bergedorfer Straße as part of the B5 federal highway over the A1 motorway (structure number 533). In addition, the pilot project includes the complete renovation of the road section of the B5 in the area of the overpass over a length of approx. 3 km as well as the motorway connections of the A1 in the area of AS Billstedt. The pilot project is funded by the federal government for the development of BIM basics for infrastructure projects. The owner of the project is the Provincal Authority for Roads, Bridges and Waterways, LSBG.

SD Ingenieure provides the overall coordination for BIM aspects throughout the project to the owner. This includes managing interfaces between all project participants for the integration of the different partial models. The project includes the extensive application for BIM in all project phases according to the (German) Regulations / Ordinance on Architects and Engineers Fees.
